David Sauer

David has nearly 25 years of experience in the video and multimedia production industry, including 10 years specializing in medical / surgical production.

David began his career in 1988 as a producer for live media events. In 1996, he moved to VMI Company where he designed, sold and installed high-end video production systems. He was also appointed as the company’s technology specialist for the emerging digital and high-definition video markets.

Around 2000, David began leading the company’s efforts to expand their presence in the medical / surgical video industry. His focus was to develop video systems designed specifically for surgical acquisition. He designed and implemented numerous systems, both mobile and installed, for customers throughout the Midwest. At the same time, David started developing a successful freelance business as a producer, videographer and editor.

In 2005, David started Media in Mind. The company offers full service video and multimedia production to a variety of customers. Shorty thereafter, he began focusing on medical / surgical production; a field that he was already familiar with because of his success at VMI. He steadily built this end of the company, logging hundreds of hours of OR acquisition.

Finally, in 2011, David and Nick Lammers combined their experience and resources to create a entity that is dedicated to and specializes in the unique and demanding needs of the medical community.
