Nick Lammers
Nick has over 25 years of experience in medical / surgical video production. He began his career in 1989 as a videographer and editor for Medical Video Productions in St. Louis. He later moved to Missouri Bone and Joint Center where he found success as a producer and media manager until 1998.
In that same year, Nick formed Media Mill Productions and purchased the Video Journal of Ophthalmology (VJO). As owner and publisher of the VJO, Nick managed all operations and significantly expanded the Journal’s circulation, while also functioning as its primary producer and videographer. He interfaced with many world-renown surgeons and implant manufacturers to acquire content and secure sponsorships for the Journal.
Around 2005, Nick expanded Media Mill by making it the primary production resource for numerous orthopedic implant manufacturers and other medical video journals. Eventually, Media Mill merged with Med21, publisher of the Video Journal of Orthopedics. He successfully produced content for both Journals and various other medical clients until he liquidated his interest in the company in 2010 to pursue other business interests.
The following year, he and a long-time business acquaintance, David Sauer, began to discus a partnership in the surgical media industry. After completing several successful joint projects, Nick and David developed Surgical Media Productions.
